Doctrinal Apologetics
Remnant Christian Assembly recognizes that EVERY CHRISTIAN is called to be well-versed in apologetics. The basis for this mindset can be found in 1 Peter 3:15 which says, “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear…”
The phrase “give an answer” comes from the Greek word apologia, which means “a plea” or “to defend oneself by making a formal justification”. In other words, providing apologia supplies proof and validation for one’s beliefs and actions. As stated and implied, all Christians are called to be well-versed in carrying out the work of apologetics. All Christians are required to be ready to give an answer—a viable, entreatable, and stable answer—for what we believe and why.
Therefore, This tier is dedicated to helping Christians fulfill the call found in 1 Peter 3:15, as well as Jude 3 which exhorts us to “earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints.” In addition, we need to understand what we should believe and why.
We accomplish this work during Bible Study services and occasional Apologetic Workshops, where time is dedicated to helping Christians to stand fast in the faith. We address specific topics, partake of trustworthy resources, and engage in frequent question and answer sessions.
In all things, we strive to ensure that God’s people are thoroughly equipped.
